JobsIndex Hits 11 Million Jobs: What Our Global Expansion Means for You

JobsIndex Hits 11 Million Jobs: What Our Global Expansion Means for You

JobsIndex, the largest database of active jobs, crossed 11 million live job listings earlier this year. That number matters, but what matters more is what’s behind it: a jobs data feed built directly from employer sources, refreshed multiple times a day, now covering 197 countries.

If your product runs on jobs data, here’s what that looks like in practice.

The Data Comes Directly From Employers, Not Aggregators

Most jobs data in the market has been through the aggregator cycle at least once. A job gets posted, picked up by a large aggregator, redistributed into other feeds, and by the time it reaches you, it’s days old, full of duplicates, and practically identical to what several other vendors are selling.

JobsIndex sources directly from 300,000+ employer career sites and ATS systems, with no middlemen. We pull from more than 250 ATSs, including the major US platforms and a growing list of country-specific systems like Personio in Germany and regional Lever deployments across the UK and Europe.

When you compare data providers side by side, the headline numbers, jobs tracked, companies covered, often look close. That similarity can be misleading. Many competitors pull from career sites, ATSs, and job boards simultaneously, and those sources overlap heavily, so the same posting gets counted multiple times, and the total gets inflated. We collect directly from sources only: career sites and ATSs, no job boards. So what we report is what’s actually there. On a like-for-like basis, that real number still puts us at the best coverage in the market, which is what puts 11 million genuinely distinct live jobs in the index.

The feed is refreshed daily. When a job closes, it comes out. When a new one goes live, it comes in. You’re not serving listings that were filled two weeks ago.

Every listing includes a direct application link to the employer’s own page. For your candidates, that means no redirects, no being asked to register on three different platforms before reaching the actual job. For you as a job board, it means applicants stay in your ecosystem rather than being handed off to a competitor.

What Gets Delivered Is Clean and Structured Jobs

Raw job postings are inconsistent. Titles vary by employer, salary information is buried in description text, location fields are incomplete, and categories don’t align across sources. Some customers need the data as-is, and we can deliver it that way. Others want it cleaned, structured, and ready to plug into their product. For those, JobsIndex runs enrichment across the data before delivery:

Salary parsing. Salary data is detected across major currencies, the figure and pay period are extracted, and the output is normalized to a consistent format. This applies to both US and European postings, which matters as salary transparency requirements expand across the EU. Salary can be extracted from the dedicated salary field or from other fields, including the job description.

Salary estimation. When a job doesn’t include a salary, we can estimate a likely compensation range based on the job title and location. Useful if you’re building salary filters or bench-marking tools and can’t afford gaps in coverage.

Taxonomy mapping. Job categories can be mapped to your platform’s taxonomy or any standardized framework such as O-NET, NOC, or SOC, used by governments and researchers. If listings come from multiple sources that categorize jobs differently, that gets reconciled before delivery. Custom taxonomy configurations are available.

Geo normalization. Location data is standardized to support accurate search, targeting, and workforce analytics.

Employer normalization. Company names are cleaned and mapped consistently across sources, so the same employer doesn’t show up as five variations of their name.

Contact parsing. Phone numbers and email addresses from listings are identified, extracted, and exported to separate, clean fields.

Duplicate removal. The same listing can surface through an ATS and a career page simultaneously. It doesn’t reach you twice.

The XML sample below shows what a delivered listing looks like:

The Feed Is Configured to Your Specs

Every feed is tailored rather than a generic export. That covers:

Filtering. By job title, keyword, location, post date, employer, or any combination. Boolean search is supported for more complex segment logic. A board focused on engineering roles in Chicago doesn’t receive warehouse jobs in Springfield.

Output format. XML, CSV, JSON, or JSONL, plus custom text formats to your specification.

Delivery method. Amazon S3, SFTP, FTP, direct API, Google Cloud Storage, Azure, or Snowflake. Whichever fits your infrastructure.

Field customization. Fields can be added, excluded, split, or remapped to match your schema. Categories can be mapped to your own taxonomy. Custom rules and filters apply.

Exclusions. Specific employers, titles, or locations can be excluded from the feed. If there are sources you don’t want included, they won’t be.

Job status tagging. Listings can be tagged OLD/NEW so your system can ingest only new postings if that’s how it’s built.

Mix with your existing feeds. If you’re already running paid feeds, JobsIndex jobs can be mixed in and deduplicated against them, so you get clean combined output.

Coverage: US Core and Globally

The US coverage base is 225,000+ employer source sites tracked directly. That remains the foundation.

Our coverage within existing markets continues to deepen. Over the past year, we’ve significantly expanded the number of employers we index in Switzerland, Norway, and Brazil, adding new ATS connections and direct career page sources in each. Those three are the most recent examples; the same process runs continuously across the 197 countries we cover. If a market matters to your product, it’s worth asking us where our current depth sits.

If you need specific geographic coverage, whether a country, language, or industry vertical, it’s worth a conversation now.

What’s Actually in the Index Right Now

The 11 million figure is driven by two things, and it’s worth being clear about both.

One is the market. US hiring demand has genuinely recovered. Our Q2 2026 JobMarketPulse report tracked 6.45 million active US job postings at the end of Q2, up 3.7% YoY, with every month of the quarter above a level not reached in the prior twelve months. The strongest growth came from Engineering (140,151 postings, up 20.7% YoY), Information Technology (188,711, up 15.1%), and Warehouse (153,942, up 13.6%).

The other driver is us. As of July 1, 2026, we collect from over 300,000 employer sources worldwide, including more than 225,000 in the United States. That’s a larger footprint than a year ago, and when an employer comes into the index for the first time, their open roles show up immediately. That’s not the market growing; that’s our coverage getting deeper.

For customers, you’re getting both at once: a market in recovery and an index that’s broader than it was twelve months ago. When you see a category jump in your feed, it may be the market, new sources, or both. We track them separately, so we can tell you which.

Who This Is For

Job boards. Clean, current listings with direct application links, daily updates, and filtering tailored to your audience. Organic jobs mixed with paid feeds, deduplicated. Candidates apply directly from your site.

Labor market researchers and analytics teams. Salary-parsed, geo-normalized, structured records across 197 countries, refreshed throughout the day. Granular enough to track trends by sector, title, seniority, and location in near real time.

HR tech and analytics platforms. Enriched, structured data that fits into your product without significant cleaning on your end. Taxonomy mapping, salary normalization, and geo enrichment are handled before delivery.

Recruitment agencies. Fresh postings in your niche, filtered to the sectors and locations your team works in. Your sales team gets an early signal on where hiring is picking up, before it shows up in public reporting.
